Georgian Restaurant in the Village of Vaio

Strategic direction: Tourism Development and Economic Diversification

The family-owned winery Amkhanagoba Mtevani (friendship bunch) produces local grape varieties such as Chkaveri, Tsolakauri, and Vaio Saperavi. In addition, the family also produces Georgian brandy and honey. As part of the overall package, the winery offers its visitors the chance to explore and experience their vineyard and farms and now the family plans to complete its services with a Georgian restaurant.

The aim of the project is to help the family business set up a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating areas. This entails:

-        Renovating the kitchen and equipping it with all the necessary appliances

-        Renovating the entire ground floor

The team is composed of members with many years of experience in the tourism sector, including staff who speak several foreign languages, and an experienced cook.

As a result of the project 3 women and 1 man will be employed.

Overall project budget: 39,352 GEL
European Union funding: 27,338 GEL
